Western Balkans at a Crossroads: A Common Vision

The IIP, the Karl Renner Institute, the oiip, and the Balkan Forum organized the conference "Western Balkans at a Crossroads: A Common Vision" on December 16, 2024, to discuss the region's stability, democracy, and EU integration issues. The gathering brought together scholars, activists, and stakeholders to talk about identity problems and democratic action in the region while highlighting the viewpoints of young people. The topics of the two closed workshops were “Bridging Perspectives: Navigating Identity Conflicts for Lasting Stability” and “Citizen Participation and Democracy as a Means to Secure Prosperity”. In an effort to promote a more comprehensive discussion on the region's pressing issues, the outcomes of these workshops were presented at the IIP's public event later that evening.
