ABOUT THE BOOK
Amid the concerning tensions in the Middle East, Itamar Rabinovich provides a unique insider analysis of the Middle East conflict, past and potential future peace processes. He analyzes the Arab-Israeli relations beyond the Palestine conflict in the larger context of regional and international politics, from the role of Iran, Syria, and Turkey to that of the USA and China.
FOR DISCUSSION
The subsequent discussion will address the historical roots and complex dynamics of the Middle East conflict—from the founding of Israel, the Abraham Accords, and the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, 2023, to the current events, the war in Gaza, and the future of a two-state solution. What could the international community contribute to a just and hopeful future for both Palestinians and Israelis? What regional interests and actors are in play? What creative approaches exist? These and other questions will be explored in the discussion.
